Thanks for this informative and insightful piece. I appreciated how the convention incorporates player perspective throughout and doesn’t limit scope to academic papers on baseball. Would love to go one of these in the future. It’s on my bucket list!
Thanks Kevin, and agreed. Only one of the sessions that I went to felt like an "academic paper". Perhaps a couple of the poster research boards too. But almost all of it is a really nice mix of player panels, umpire and front office panels, and historical research that is presented in a really approachable, understandable way -- and with plenty of humor included too.
